Privacy Policy

Effective June 27, 2026

The short version. To do the silly thing you're paying for, we receive the diff you submit, run a tool on it, and — for Brawny's review — pass that diff to a third-party AI provider. We keep your account and billing details to run your account. We don't sell your data. The free local tool sends us nothing at all; if privacy is the priority, that's the move.

Who we are

Hunky Cloud is operated by Gather Social Technologies Corp., the data controller for the information described here. Contact: support@hunky.dev.

What we collect

  • Account data — your email, your display name, and a one-way hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
  • Billing data — your plan, usage balance, promo credit, and a record of charges. Card details are entered with and held by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • The diffs you submit — to stage your hunks and generate a review, we receive the diff text you send. We do not access your repository, your working tree, or any files you don't hand us.
  • Usage metadata — counts and sizes of requests (e.g. how many stages, how many kilobytes) so we can bill you and keep the lights on.
  • Technical logs — IP address, timestamps, and basic request info, kept for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
  • A session cookie — strictly to keep you logged in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your diff and the AI review

This is the part worth reading twice. When you request a stage, your diff is processed on our server by the same hunky binary you could run locally, and we return git commands for you to run yourself. Separately, to produce Brawny's review, your diff is sent to a third-party large-language-model provider that performs the actual generation. That provider processes your diff under its own terms and privacy policy. If your diff contains secrets, credentials, or anything you wouldn't paste into a chatbot, don't send it.

How we use it

To run your account, perform the staging and review you ask for, process payments, send you transactional email (verification, password resets, the occasional Letter from Brawny), keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with the law. That's the whole list.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for anyone's advertising. We use a small set of processors to operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payments and billing.
  • An LLM provider — generates Brawny's review from your diff.
  • Our email provider — sends transactional email.
  • Our hosting provider — runs the servers and stores the data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the Service against abuse.

Retention & deletion

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account exists and as long as we're legally required to afterward. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your personal data to the extent practicable; some records (e.g. payment and tax history, security logs) may be retained where the law requires. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund — see the Terms.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data — passwords are hashed, card data stays with Stripe, traffic is encrypted in transit. But this is an intentionally small, intentionally silly product, and no service can promise perfect security. Use a unique password.

Your choices

You can access and update your account details in Settings, delete your account, and contact us to ask what we hold about you. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or erase your data; email us and we'll honor what applies.

Children

The Service isn't directed at children and isn't for anyone under the age required to consent to this kind of service where they live. We don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes get a new effective date here. Questions, requests, or strongly worded letters may be sent to support@hunky.dev.

hunky

Stage just the hunks you want, no TUI. The one git operation a non-interactive caller can't do. Man, those are some pretty hunks.

Brawny Johvo is a Legally Distinct Non-Infringing Original Character and any resemblance to a certain coiffed, slick-haired cartoon is purely an affectionate tribute.
